I doubt it. It has been very dry (Feb - May2024 ~42mm total, June not up yet but v little too). Those photos were taken 18Sept 2016 after ok rain for several months.

thanks Natureguy - ( these two plants seemed v. different to the other C. semipapposum recorded on another area of the property. There must be quite a bit of variation in the species).

I had a little bit of a look on iNat, and there are some plants as C. semipapposum that match closely to this one. So happy to go to species level
